After playing out a classic 3-3 draw in their Group G matchup today (Monday), in the tournament's final 10am GMT kickoff, both Serbia and Cameroon are still alive in the World Cup.
Of the two countries, Serbia might feel the more disheartened, having driven 3-1 on account of Strahinja Pavlovic, Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, and Aleksander Mitrovic objectives. After coming back from a 1-0 deficit, when Jean-Charles Castelletto scored for the Indomitable Lions, they appeared to be in complete control.
After falling behind by two goals, they lived up to their moniker. Substitute Vincent Aboubakar led a thrilling comeback, first scoring against the goalkeeper to cut the deficit in half and then setting up Eric Choupo-Moting to tie the score at 3-3. From that point, it looked inescapable that one side would track down a triumphant objective, yet it finished level, leaving the two groups still with a remote possibility of making the last 16.
