PSL 2023 kicks off with Multan Sultans vs. Lahore Qalandals in a repeat of last season's final.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 is set to take place starting on February 13th in Multan with a match between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars. This season marks a return to four venues for the league after it was limited to two venues in the past two seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rawalpindi will host the most number of games, with 11 matches being played there. Karachi, Lahore, and Multan will also host 9, 9, and 5 games respectively. The final, as well as the playoffs, will all be held in Lahore on March 19th.

Three women's festival games have been scheduled during the PSL, with matches taking place in Rawalpindi on March 8th, 10th, and 11th. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is testing the waters for a full-fledged women's T20 league in the future. The aim is to launch a standalone women's league later this year, with four teams and a different name.

Najam Sethi, the head of the PCB's management committee, initially announced that Quetta would be included as a venue for the first time, but it was later omitted due to logistical concerns. Despite this, Sethi stated that the PSL will be a major event for the PCB and will feature the world's best T20 cricketers. The schedule was set in place in December and has not undergone any major changes, except for the Qalandars who will now play back-to-back games on February 19th and 21st. Quetta and Peshawar will not have any home games as their venues are not yet ready to host high-profile games, but the plan is to have them ready for the PSL 2024.
