PSL 8 Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans: Karachi kings thrashed Multan to secure 2nd win

The Karachi Kings claimed their second victory on Sunday after defeating Multan Sultan by 66 runs in the 14th leg of the 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.  Karachi started first and in 16.3 overs he made the competition target of 168 runs in 16.3 overs before beating Multan with 101 runs.  In response to the goal, Multan's batsmen failed to find any momentum and Karachi's spin bowling shined and failed to rest their opponents.  Opener Shanmasoud was eliminated after he scored 25 runs in 16 balls with the help of four boundaries. The batter fell to Akif-Jabed after an inside edge. Meanwhile, Rilee Rossouw was put away by the beauty of weirdo Shoaib Malik. A left-hander could only score 7 runs on 6 balls.  The next batsman to fall was David Miller, sent back seven runs later by his compatriot Tablais Shamsi.  The veteran all-rounder struck again in the third over after sending Multan skipper Mohammad Rizwan, 29, back to the pavilion. The wicketkeeper batsman tried to hit his shot with a sweep to the side of his leg but the ball hit the edge and the rest was done by debutant Tayab his Tahir who made a sensational catch. it was a crazy day in karachi. Shamsi again contributed to his side, knocking out Kushdir Shah (4) with a spectacular shot.  The South African spinner scored 10 runs before Usama sacked his meal to take his third wicket.  Then skipper Imad Wasim joined the party and knocked out Carlos Braithwaite (1).  A left-arm spinner sacked Aqeel Hossain (2) in the same over. The left-hander hit his six, but Ben he was caught cutting. Anwar Ali, who hit 12 balls and 12 carries, was the ninth batter. A right-handed hitter got to Akif.  Malik ended Multan's innings by trapping Abbas Afridi with lbw.  For Karachi, Malik and Shamsi took three wickets each, while Akif and Imad each took his two scalps.  Earlier, Karachi he finished 3-for-167 in the 20 overs the Kings were allotted. At one point Karachi looked to book a huge amount on the board, but the Multan bowlers bowled very well in Deathover and got back into contention.  Opener James Vince left after a brief cameo scoring 27 runs in 12 balls, while Anwar Ali sent the England player back to the shed.  But Matthew Wade and Tayyab Tahir, on the second wicket, on 83 balls he made an impressive partnership of hundreds of 109 runs.  Tahir was driven off the stumps by Isanullah, the tournament's leading wicket taker, but not before the former scored 65 runs in 46 balls. The right-hander's confident knock included eight 4's and 6's. Meanwhile, Wade, who had 46 runs on 47 balls, was dismissed by Isanullah as he tried to hit a round shot.  Skipper Imad Wasim said he only fought six balls, but with the help of fours and sixes he made the most of it to score 14 runs.  Ihsanullah was Multan's bowler's pick, with his numbers 2–22 in four overs.
